Mike Winterbotham – Design Director

As the original founding member of Clearcraft, Mike is a veteran of 35 years with the business. From the early days, when Clearcraft was nothing more than a market stall at Greenwich market, Mike was there!

Nobody in the world knows more than Mike about oil candles – and I mean nobody. There is nothing he doesn’t know and if you have any sorts of problems or questions about them, he is your man!

As Design Director and the person that organises e-mails, marketing and websites, I get to use a photograph that’s 25 years old!

Gill Coates – Finance Director

Gill has been there with Mike right from the very beginning so has also served for 35 years! As finance director, she has steered the company through the choppy waters of several recessions and Covid to boot.

She is a very safe pair of hands and because you can trust her with the finances, you can trust her with your business

Martin Roythorne – Warehouse Manager

With over twenty years of experience, Martin runs the warehouse with an iron hand!
Put your tea down for 5 minutes and it will be organised, tidied and maybe even
dispatched to somebody else.

We could not run the business without him…even though he can be a bit grumpy at
times!

Garry Roythorne – Warehouse manager

What do you do when you find a really good member of staff?? You employ his
younger brother who is just as good, but will last a bit longer, that’s what you do!!

So Garry is Martin 2.0, and more cheerful.

These guys have been packing glassware for a long time, so you know everything
will reach you in one piece.

Phillippe Watts

Phil has been with the company for 20 years, and we can’t even remember that he’s a bit French.

He is the man that runs our accounts and spends his days making Gill look good with her financials.

When he’s not running through figures, Phil is mainly running up and down mountains and has completed all of Wainwrights Lake District peaks. For any of you that know anything about that, that is a seriously challenging 219 mountain tops to reach!
