When I was a kid, Valentines week was a mixture of excitement, apprehension, dreams and ultimately....disappointment!

Yes, every year, the same outcome. Ages spent making a card, some very creative plans to make sure it landed in the hands of the intended recipient while remaining undetected, and then.......nothing!

Oh hold on, one year, I did get a kiss from the love of my life ( I was nine). She later revealed that she had glandular fever which rather took the shine off it.

When I talked about Valentines to my boys, my youngest just said 'Nah! none of that happens now.'
I have to agree, it saves a lot of angst, but also its a bit sad, losing some of that hope!

Nowadays, apparently, everything is done on line.

Even ordering oil candles and lamp oil!!
We are still here, like real people, so if you want to talk to us and place an order the old fashioned way, then that would be nice. Otherwise I'm just sitting here, setting light to things.

Anyway, after the busy times of Valentines, its time to start looking forward to Mothers Day!! Don't you just love another marketing day!
We will have some new outdoor oil candles on the way this spring and summer so look out for those.
